John
Ley has been at SMU since 1993 and is currently serving as the
director of information services in the Development and External
Affairs division. After many years he became one of SMU’s recent
graduates earning his bachelor degree in social science
(psychology/philosophy). Prior to that he served as project lead for
the IMPACT Project, the PeopleSoft Advancement Implementation at
SMU. Previously, John served as the manager of gift accounting &
campaign reporting in the Office of Development.
John has served on the faculty at CASE’s Summer Institutes, the
Annual Senior Conferences, and the Matching Gifts Symposium chairing
the Annual Senior Meeting for four consecutive years. He has also
been published in CASE CURRENTS and the CASE book, Advancement
Services.
