  Reunion: A Time to Solicit "Spike" Gifts from Alumni Revenue

Email AddressAnn DiStefano was named director of Bucknell’s Annual Fund and Parent Giving Programs in 2002, after serving as director of the Parents Giving Programs since 1995.  She is also responsible for the overall management of a twelve-person annual fund team charged with maximizing current operating support for the university from alumni, parents, and friends. Ann works closely with the development committees of the Board of Trustees, Alumni Board, and the Parents Board. Under Ann’s leadership, the Parents Fund increased funds by 150 percent in a five year period by raising over $1 million. Under her direction, annual fund revenue increased by 27 percent over the last three years.

Ann has sixteen years of fundraising experience in education, including development coordinator at Cornell University’s Lab of Ornithology, development officer at Seattle Country Day School, and director of development at Linden Hall School for Girls. Prior to her career in development, Ann held various positions in the corporate world for Bell Atlantic and Exxon.

Ann was recognized in July 2005 for her dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm for parent fundraising at the 20th anniversary of the National Parent Fundraising Conference. She is also the recipient of the 2001 CASE District II Rising Star Award in recognition for her leadership in Parent Programs and advancement programs, and enthusiasm and commitment for the institutional advancement profession. Ann has previously served as a faculty member of CASE and other fund raising conferences.

Ann lives in Lewisburg with her husband, Tom, who is an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Bucknell. Ann enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
