Position Summary: This position is responsible for creating, implementing and directing a comprehensive stewardship program for all donors to the University. The Director will manage outreach activities and all communications to individual donors as well as to specific group of donors on behalf of the President and Sr. VP for Development and Alumni Relations. The Director must have the ability to prioritize and develop strategies for the acknowledgement, reporting and ongoing cultivation of donors with the goal of increasing donor participation, re-engagement and giving in support of NYU’s fundraising efforts.
Required Experience: 5 to 8 years’ stewardship/donors relation and communications experience preferably with involvement in a major fundraising campaign, as well or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.): Knowledge of the non-profit sector. Proven track record of interaction with high-level donors. Excellent communications, writing and editing skills. Team-oriented and the ability to work with a diverse population. Experience with major fundraising campaign. Skilled in the management of others, multitasking and time management. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
