He is a former national and international gymnastics coach, who studied advertising and design prior to coming to University of Toronto. He oversaw a team of 5 employees who specialize in the marketing and management of non-philanthropic revenue generating programs. These programs include affinity, sponsorship, travel, and trademark initiatives. Under his leadership the University of Toronto affinity and marketing programs have grown significantly, there are presently in excess of 50,000 client accounts in the various UofT programs. Kyle is the only Canadian to serve on the Board of Directors of the International Collegiate Licensing Association and acts as the Liaison for this association to the University Advisory Committee of the Fair Labor Association. He has been an active proponent of collaboration between Canadian Universities and has spoken to this issue at CASE, CCAE, ICLA and at various regional conferences across Canada.
