Dear Friend,

My first year as dean of Tulane Law School has brought many joys, but none greater than getting to know our remarkable students. Ambitious, public-spirited, and drawn from diverse backgrounds, they give me great confidence about the future of our law school and our profession.

To the right is a brief profile of one of our outstanding graduates from the Class of 2011. Tyler is, of course, just one of many such students who make a difference at Tulane Law School and in the world beyond.

As you reflect upon your own experience, I hope you agree that Tulane Law School enabled you to make a difference in the world as well. Our ability to continue shaping the futures of the best and brightest in the profession depends on the support of our alumni. Your support enables us to attract and retain world-class faculty, expand externship and skills-training opportunities, and provide scholarships so that Tulane remains accessible to promising students. Today I ask you to consider making a gift to show your support of Tulane Law School.

In the coming year, I hope you will become even more closely connected with Tulane Law School. Visit us in New Orleans or at one of the events we are hosting around the country to connect alumni, faculty, and current students. Please keep an eye out for Tulane students and alumni in your own employment networks and let us know how we can help you in your own career.

Once again, I hope that you will consider supporting Tulane Law School this year and helping us to achieve our ambitious plans for the future.

Thank you so much for your consideration,

David D. Meyer
