Our reasons for giving to The George Washington University are as varied as the lives we lead and the experiences we had as students. Each of us has our own GW memories and story to tell. Thousands of individual GW stories come together to create a rich, diverse alumni community – our GW.

In the same way, thousands of individual gifts from alumni come together to make a real impact on GW and its students today. Annual gifts are put to use immediately across the university, supporting diverse priorities including academics, campus organizations, and the Power & Promise Fund for student aid.

Please make a gift to support our GW, and share your GW story. You could be featured on this website or in an upcoming publication.

About the Challenge

We did it! Thank you to the more than 9,000 alumni who made a gift between July 1 and December 31, 2010. Thanks to your support, GW met its alumni donor challenge, leading to a $100,000 gift to the Power & Promise Fund for student aid from an anonymous donor.

This challenge is just one example of the collective impact of alumni gifts. If you haven't already made your annual gift, please join the more than 9,000 alumni who already have, and give today.

"At GW, I learned the power of community. I became a part of a vibrant student body that lived, studied, ate, played, and interacted with each other, with Foggy Bottom, with Washington, DC, and with the global community in which we all live. The residence halls and the campus communities were but a microcosm of our larger society and I was thrilled to be a part. I still feel connected to it today."
