 Grant Writer

Job DescriptionReports to the Director of Advancement Administration.

Will serve as principal writer on all proposals, as need by faculty and development staff, to foundations, corporations, and individuals.

He or she also will assist with campaign writing for Institutional Advancement and some special gift acknowledgement requirements for grants.

He or she may assist faculty with assembling materials and preparation for federal and other government grants.

He or she will prepare and maintain basic institutional descriptions to incorporate into grant
applications.

The grant writer will also maintain a calendar of anticipated submissions and a reminder system for grant reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and superior writing skills.

The writer must be able to organize complex materials, manage more than one project at a time, and work within and toward deadlines.

He or she must be independent, creative, and able to communicate comfortably in an academic setting
