 Advancement Services Manager

Job DescriptionThis position executes the gift office functions within the Advancement Office, ensuring that donor intentions are honored, gifts are processed and acknowledged in an accurate and timely manner, accurate financial reports are generated, gift policies conform to all regulatory policies and prospect research is performed in a succinct and appropriate manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish a format and consistent operating procedure for all gift reports. Work with other staff members to train them how to run applicable reports.
• Update prospect information including; biographical, affinity, gift and relational  information. Provide information as requested to support all development efforts.
• Serve as liaison between the Office of Institutional Advancement, The Office of the Comptroller and the Office of Information Technology. Coordinate all staff computer training, manage donor database for most effective and efficient use and develop consistent procedures for data input.
• Manage the timely entry of all gifts and pledges into the Alumni/Development Module of Banner; generate acknowledgements and receipts.
• Produce the donor listing for the Annual Report.
• Assist the Senior Director of Development with other initiatives to advance the efforts of the college.

Supervision of Other Employees/Evaluation:

The Advancement Services Manager will supervise the Coordinator of  Gift Processing. The Advancement Services manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Development.

Qualifications:

Incumbent must be a technically-minded person who has an in-depth  knowledge of Windows XP and Microsoft Office operations; Word, Excel and Access. The Manager of Advancement Services will also have a significant financial background.  Knowledge of the Banner System specifically the Advancement Module is preferred.

Equipment/Demands/Environment:

The Incumbent will have an extensive knowledge of advanced computer systems and office equipment. Position requires data base management skills and word processing abilities with the majority of work performed at a computer workstation, no physical labor.
