 Development Services Officer

Performs a variety of tasks related to the development information database.

Using his/her knowledge of fund-raising and of development gift processing and prospect management procedures, the DSO works with gift officers and managers looking to track or analyze fund-raising activity to refine their requests, and, after consultation with the reporting group, produces the report or output, if assigned, or coordinates with other members of the team, as needed.

Additionally, the DSO tracks all requests from users for reports and exports from the database.

The DSO is responsible for training members on the use of the database, and for developing and maintaining training plans for each major group of users, and for the upkeep of the gift processing procedures.

Finally, the Development Services Officer collaborates with the Development Services Coordinator and other members of the Operations team on data integrity activities, as well as the development and implementation of standardized reporting and exporting procedures.
