 Annual Fund Officer

Department: University Advancement

Reports to: Director of Annual Fund

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree is required.

  • Two to three years of experience in fund raising, sales or marketing is required.

  • Strong communication skills are required, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Professional experience in higher education preferred.

Basic description of job:

  • The Annual Fund Officer will be responsible for coordinating personal solicitation for two reunion classes annually.

  • Manages donors and prospects in the regions of _________.

  • Manage donors and prospects for the Classes of 1970-1989.

  • Manage assigned donors and prospects in specific regions.

  • Responsible for all reunion solicitations within specified class years.

  • Responsible for all gift club level LYBUNTS that do not renew their support through the renewal system.

  • Responsible for solicitation for two reunion classes annually.

  • Recruit reunion gift chair.

  • Work with reunion gift chair and committee to establish goals, identify potential donors and develop solicitation strategies.

  • Responsible for managing the solicitation process and achieving all goals for the class.

  • Staff reunion activities.

Supervision received:

  • Director of the Annual Fund

  • Bi-weekly meetings and yearly performance review.

Supervision of others:

  • Administrative Assistant

  • Supervise on a day-to-day basis.

Key working relationships:

  • Excellent working relationships must be established with Advancement managers and staff, Development Information Services, Alumni, and volunteers.
