Since April of 2004, Jennifer Cooper has had oversight
responsibilities for Vanderbilt University's offices of Prospect
Research, Information Management, and Gift/Record Processing. From
1993 to 2003, she was the Director of Research & Prospect Management
at the University of Oregon Foundation. She has been a frequent
presenter for both the Association of Professional Researchers for
Advancement (APRA) and CASE. Last year, she served as co-chair for
the CASE conference for Prospect Research, was the Prospect
Management track chair at the APRA International Conference in
Dallas, TX, and was the Prospect Research faculty for CASE's Summer
Institute for Advancement Services in Nashville, TN. Jennifer has a
BA in Public Relations and a BS in Telecommunications & Film both
from the University of Oregon.

Francine
Cronin brings 18 years of experience working in the world of higher
education fundraising to her role as associate vice president for
annual giving at Emory University. She is active on the Development
and University Relations Leadership Team and the university’s
Administrative Council. In the three years that Francine has been at
Emory, the Annual Fund has almost doubled from $3.6 million in
fiscal year 2002-03 to $7 million in fiscal year 2005-06. During
this same time period alumni participation has grown from 25 percent
to 36 percent. Francine’s desire to work in the development and
alumni relations field was sparked during her senior year of
college, at the State University of New York at Geneseo, where she
served as a committee member of the college’s first-ever Senior Gift
Campaign (Class of 1987). Upon graduation, she began her career at
Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), first as assistant director
of the Telefund Program and then as director of the annual
fund. While working full-time she attended night classes part-time
at RIT and in 1993, she earned her M.S. in career & human resource
development with a concentration in organizational
development. Francine played an active role in RIT’s $100 million
five-year capital campaign, “Access to the Future”. After spending
six plus years in a large private university setting, Francine moved
back to her hometown of Utica, N.Y., and worked at a small public
university—SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome (SUNYIT). She
served as director of development & alumni relations at SUNYIT for
more than eight years until she moved to Atlanta in June of 2003 to
lead Emory University’s Annual Giving Program. Francine is currently
serving as vice chair & chair of the Membership Committee for the
National Annual Giving Director’s Consortium (NAGDC).

Ann
DiStefano was named director of Bucknell’s Annual Fund and Parent
Giving Programs in 2002, after serving as director of the Parents
Giving Programs since 1995. She is also responsible for the overall
management of a twelve-person annual fund team charged with
maximizing current operating support for the university from alumni,
parents, and friends. Ann works closely with the development
committees of the Board of Trustees, Alumni Board, and the Parents
Board. Under Ann’s leadership, the Parents Fund increased funds by
150 percent in a five year period by raising over $1 million. Under
her direction, annual fund revenue increased by 27 percent over the
last three years. Ann has sixteen years of fundraising experience in education, including development coordinator at Cornell University’s Lab of Ornithology, development officer at Seattle Country Day School, and director of development at Linden Hall School for Girls. Prior to her career in development, Ann held various positions in the corporate world for Bell Atlantic and Exxon. Ann was recognized in July 2005 for her dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm for parent fundraising at the 20th anniversary of the National Parent Fundraising Conference. She is also the recipient of the 2001 CASE District II Rising Star Award in recognition for her leadership in Parent Programs and advancement programs, and enthusiasm and commitment for the institutional advancement profession. Ann has previously served as a faculty member of CASE and other fund raising conferences. Ann lives in Lewisburg with her husband, Tom, who is an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Bucknell. manages a section of 250 volunteer fundraisers now known as the 2nd
Decade Brigade. Before joining the Williams staff, she worked as a
motion picture editor in Hollywood, where she became a student of
human nature and the fine art of outreach.

Brian
Lacy began his development career at the University of Toronto 16
years ago as the first full time call center manager. He first
became a Director of Annual Giving in his next position at Trent
University. Brian then moved to the US and enjoy success as Director
of Annual Giving at St. Francis University in PA, Kent State
University, and finally the University of Connecticut. After three
years at UConn he agreed to join HEP Development Services which is a
very respected vendor in the wealth screening, data cleansing, and
matching gift areas. Since joining HEP full time more than 3 years
ago, Brian has worked with more than one thousand non-profit from
colleges and universities to hospitals, hospices, food kitchens,
fraternities and more. Brian continues to present occasionally,
attend about a dozen conferences annually, and maintain several
annual giving consulting clients.

the IMPACT Project, the PeopleSoft Advancement Implementation at
SMU. Previously, John served as the manager of gift accounting &
campaign reporting in the Office of Development. John has served on the faculty at CASE’s Summer Institutes, the Annual Senior Conferences, and the Matching Gifts Symposium chairing the Annual Senior Meeting for four consecutive years. Lim is Vice President, Affinity Market Group, at Meloche Monnex. He
graduated from Sir George Williams University (now Concordia
University) with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (major in
accounting). Richard is also a Certified General Accountant and has
successfully participated in the Executive Development Program, at
Queen’s University in Kingston. He is a Trustee of the Education
Foundation of CPAC.
Richard started his career as an internal auditor with a large life
insurance company in Canada. He later worked for a major trust
company as Computer Auditor. He was the Controller and Treasurer for
an advertising company and subsequently the Division Controller of a
publicly traded international manufacturing company. Richard joined Meloche Monnex in 1982 and has held various positions in finance, administration, human resources, and systems management. In his current position as Vice President, Affinity Market Group, he is responsible for corporate client relations, public relations, and business development in Ontario

Marano is an alumnus from West Virginia University, has been a
member of the Association of Collegiate Licensing Administrators
(ACLA) now the International Collegiate Licensing Association (ICLA)
since 1995 and has served on the ICLA Board of Directors since 2003.
He has been a facilitator, panelist, and co-presenter at several
ACLA and ICLA annual national conferences, workshops and symposiums.
Since 1995, Jay has been the sole administrator for The Trademark
Licensing Office at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. Currently working in the Office of the General
Counsel, He is responsible for all aspects of trademark and
licensing services for this independently run trademark licensing
program. Carnegie Mellon's Divisions of Business Administration and University Planning presented Jay with the Staff Recognition Award for "Excellence in Innovation and Process Improvement" in 1997 for his work in building the trademark licensing program. He was nominated for a university-wide award for "University Citizenship" in 2002 for his cross departmental efforts in gaining the endorsement of Carnegie Mellon's administration for a Code of Workplace Conduct addressing the anti-sweatshop movement. He currently serves as Carnegie Mellon's liaison to both the Worker Rights Consortium (WRC) and the Fair Labor Association (FLA). Jay represents small licensing programs and schools with no licensing programs on the FLA's University Advisory Council Executive Committee.
